kundalini is where the chakras and healing channels are open.  Once they are opened you can gain access to the energy from the earth.  At the centre of the coccyx is where the root charka lies it is here that kundalini energy can enter the body.  Once the energy has entered it runs all the way up through the body, through the main energy channel and out of the crown chakra on the top of the head. 

Kundalini energy is also referred to as the kundalini fire.  Over a period of time if the kundalini has remained opened the chakras will become completely cleansed.  Body parts and other energy channels will also be cleansed.
