Depending on the time available the relaxation massage should be provided on the back, neck, arms, hands, legs and feet. The massage should start with the recipient on their stomach and the back being massaged followed by the neck, each arm and hand, then move to the backs of the legs and feet. The recipient then turns over and the neck shoulders, head and face are massaged.
A relaxation massage is great for relieving stress, reducing muscle tensions and releasing toxins from your body. It also assist in balancing the mind and body.
It is important to increase your fluid intake on the day of the massage and for a few days afterwards. The additional fluid assists in expelling the toxins from your body and aids in the repair of the muscles. If you do not drink enough fluids you may feel dehydrated and you will not get the full benefits out of your treatment.
